Paul Kamen
Senior Manager, Enterprise IT Services & Data Information Systems
Paul Kamen joined MCNC in 2010 as a Web Application Developer. Today, Paul leads the Knowledge & Information Systems team, which is responsible for a variety of development, integration, and data/documentation and mapping efforts focused both internally and externally.
Before joining MCNC, Paul studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and worked as a student employee within the university’s central IT department, providing technology support in a variety of areas to the school’s students, faculty, and staff. After graduating with a B.S. in Computer Science, he stayed on with the department full-time, transitioning to more of a developer role building primarily web-based tools and applications while also managing 50 student employees and addressing campus residential networking issues.
While away from MCNC, Paul enjoys boating and snow skiing with his family, photography, woodworking, volunteering at his church, and UNC football games!
