Chauncey Ray

Chauncey Ray joined MCNC in 2017 as a Facilities Engineer within the Facilities Team. Chauncey was responsible for all aspects of RTP Corporate from electrical to plumbing, mechanical and HVAC. He also assisted with some elements of the OSP/Fiber Hut facility dynamic. In 2021, Chauncey was promoted to Facilities Engineering and Operations Manager. Since the promotion, Chauncey is now responsible for all facility aspects of the RTP Corporate location as well as MCNC’s 30 Hut locations throughout North Carolina. As part of the Facilities team, he has become very familiar with all of the various departments that make up the MCNC family, and considers himself very fortunate to have such a great work family.

Chauncey was born as raised in the Triangle area. He attended Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC where he received B.S. Degree in Marketing. He also attended Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh where he received his Certificate and Diploma in HVACR.

Chauncey has a love for cooking and can be found most weekends over a grill or smoker. Chauncey and his wife have two boys and a beautiful daughter that demand most of their time.
