Palo Alto Networks firewalls classify network traffic by the application’s identity in order to grant access to users and provide visibility and control of all types of applications to admins, including web applications, software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications and legacy applications. The PAN approach uses the application, not the port, as the basis for all safe enablement policy decisions, so firewall administrator can allow, deny, schedule, inspect and apply traffic-shaping.
This service is fully managed by MCNC 24x7x365. Client will be granted read-only access to the Palo Alto Networks Panorama management tool to review logs and device configuration information. This level of access will ensure a standard level of security will be maintained. A client self-managed service offering is not currently available but is under consideration. A co-managed solution is not under consideration at this time.
