MCNC provides the foundational network infrastructure and manages private peering connections with specialized voice partners like Carolina Digital Phone, NWN, and True IP Solutions, to deliver high-performance, low-cost telephony.

Through this coalition, MCNC leverages our unique position as a statewide technological backbone to consolidate software licensing buying power and secure heavy volume discounts that individual organizations could not obtain on their own. By managing software through a statewide, nonprofit framework, we remove the geographic and financial barriers that typically leave rural or underfunded communities behind.
