Access control for the MCNC Client Portal is mostly automated to minimize wait time for approvals and account creation. Just follow the applicable steps below to gain access.
Step 1: Get there
Click the Client Portal link at the top of the page anywhere on www.mcnc.org or just go straight to portal.mcnc.org.
Step 2: Choose your Identity Provider
Find your institution in the list to use your existing organizational login credentials. If your institution is not associated with one of the supported federations, click the link to Create an NCREN Community account. Choose if and how long to remember your selection, and click the button to proceed.
Step 3: Log In
Log in through your selected identity provider. If this is not your first time logging in, you're all set!
*Step 4: Verify Your Email Address (first time only)
Simply click the link sent to your inbox to verify you have access to the email address associated with your account.
*Step 5: Adjust Email Address / Request Access (only if necessary)
If your verified email address is not recognized as being associated with one of our clients, you can either try verifying a different email address that might be in our records or submit a request for portal access that will automatically loop in our support staff as well as our primary technical contact(s) at your institution.
