• The Charlotte Research Institute (CRI) is the portal for business and university technology partnerships at UNC Charlotte. Created in 2000 to be a driver of regional economic development, CRI facilitates partnerships between the university's applied research programs and government agencies, industry and academia. CRI supports new research ventures and university partnerships with regional and national enterprises and spin-off companies created from UNC Charlotte research results.
